No environment on the surface of the Earth is as tough as the climate at sea. Salt humidity in the air. Wind howling at extreme and powerful speed. Massive waves smashing relentlessly. It takes ultimate skills to get certified for offshore ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC).

Y-MatTec took the test. We did not take the offshore test to pass – we wanted to be state-of-the-art in ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). We are delighted that offshore vendors often say Y-MatTec UHPC outperforms competition.

Unique properties make long-distance pumping possible and the cohesive grout characteristics induces the ability to displace water with reduced washout risk. Our UHPC grout material can be used for hours while maintaining a very high early and final strength. The outstanding fatigue behavior make Y-MatTec offshore UHPC products a perfect choice as a structural material in a combined steel structure.  

Y-MatTec offshore UHPC products are DNV certified (DNV ST C502).

The compressive strength of Y-MatTec ultra-high-performance concrete grout material increases with +115% from Day 1 (>65 MPa) to Day 56 (>135 MPa). Our UHPC-products have superior strength qualities with highest achievable classifications (c100/115).

The definition of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) is +120 MPa (megapascal) strength. In the Y-MatTec UHPC portfolio you will find all our products within the range of 135-200 MPa. It is simply outstanding! Probably the reason why we have been approved by world-leading wind turbine manufacturers such as Vestas Wind Systems and Siemens Gamesa.

Y-MatTec UHPC grout material is widely recognized as one of the very best ultra-high-performance concretes for onshore construction of wind turbine foundations. Given its unique and overwhelming strength maintenance is kept to an absolute low making long-lasting investments more profitable.  

Y-MatTecs UHPC-products have demonstrated superior fatigue resistance and a relatively low heat development. In laboratory tests our grout materials outperforms the requirements in CEB-FIB Model Code 90 at all conditions. Furthermore Y-MatTec UHPC-products matches the prediction according to fi-b Model Code 2010 measuring number of cycles to failure under cyclic loading.
