Elo Yde retires and Richard Elins becomes Chief Executive Officer

01/09/2026 – Holstebro, Denmark

Y-MatTec A/S today announced a planned change in leadership. After more than 5 years years leading the company, Elo Yde will retire as Chief Executive Officer.  Richard Elins will become Chief Executive Officer from 1st September 2026.

Elo Yde has led Y-MatTec from its inception in 2021. Under his leadership, Y-MatTec developed its technology, established its position in the wind, construction, and nuclear markets and built relationships with customers and partners around the world.

“I am proud of what we have built,” said Elo. “It has taken good people, hard work and a belief that there was a better way to do things. Y-MatTec has reached a point where it can do much more. I am pleased to hand the company’s leadership to Richard, and I believe he is the right person to steer it forward.”

Richard Elins brings more than 19 years of experience in offshore construction and construction materials. After an early career in subsea construction, he has held senior roles in international construction materials companies with extensive work across offshore wind projects.

He has worked across markets in Europe and Asia and has spent much of his career close to the projects where high-performance cementitious materials are used.

“I am honoured to take on the role,” said Richard. “Y-MatTec is made up of an impressive group of professionals.  Our UHPC technologies are peerless, and our products seek to solve real problems to lower our customers’ project costs.”

“The job now is to grow. We will work with our customers and partners, expand into new markets and continue to develop products for the energy sectors and other demanding applications.”

The Board said the appointment was the result of a planned succession process.

“Elo Yde has built a strong company and has given Y-MatTec a solid foundation,” said Johnny Thomsen, Chairman of Y-MatTec’s board. “We are grateful for his contribution. Richard knows this industry and understands our customers, their projects and the challenges they face. We believe he is the right person to lead Y-MatTec through its next stage.”

Elo Yde will retire as CEO, remain as board member on Y-MatTec’s board, and available to the business in a formal Senior Advisor role ensuring his unique knowledge is still part of the Y-MatTec proposition.

Y-MatTec will continue to focus on high-performance cementitious materials for offshore and onshore wind, other energy markets, and infrastructure projects. The company will build on its existing technology and customer relationships while expanding its international presence.

There will be no change in the company’s commitment to its customers or its partners.
