Y-MatTec Announces Appointment of Johnny Thomsen as Chairman of the Board

Y-MatTec A/S today announced a change in the leadership of its Board of Directors, with Thomas Bak stepping down as Chairman of the Board and Johnny Thomsen assuming the role with immediate effect.
Thomas Bak has served as Chairman during an important period in the company’s development, providing strategic guidance as Y-MatTec strengthened its position in the global market for advanced cementitious materials and offshore wind foundation technologies. On behalf of the Board, management, and employees, Y-MatTec extends its sincere gratitude to Thomas for his commitment, leadership, and valuable contributions to the company’s growth.

Johnny Thomsen succeeds Thomas Bak as Chairman of the Board. Johnny is one of Denmark’s most respected executives in the renewable energy and maritime sectors, having served as Chief Executive Officer of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, where he led one of the world’s leading offshore wind turbine manufacturers through a period of significant international growth. Throughout his career, he has held several senior executive and board-level positions across industry, logistics and renewable energy, bringing extensive experience in strategy, international business development and corporate governance. Today, he serves on the boards of several organisations, including the Port of Esbjerg, one of Europe’s most important ports for the offshore wind industry. His appointment reflects Y-MatTec’s continued commitment to strengthening its governance and accelerating its international growth strategy as the company expands its presence in global offshore and infrastructure markets.
